Altadena Girls is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting teen girls and those who identify with girlhood before, during, and after crisis by providing essentials, emotional support, and community.
The UN confirms it: adolescent girls are the most overlooked population in any disaster or crisis. Billions flow into relief - almost none is programmed with girls in mind.
THE SOLUTION
We meet teen girls where they are and stay with them as they rebuild, providing:
01.
Essentials
The tangible items that restore dignity and a sense of self
02.
Emotional Support
Connection, care, and creative expression during difficult moments and beyond.
03.
COMMUNITY
Safe spaces, both physical and digital, where girls can belong and be seen
OUR COMMITMENT
WE RESPOND IN MOMENTS OF CRISIS AND STICK AROUND LONG AFTER HEADLINES FADE

OUR STORY
Altadena Girls was founded by then-14-year-old Avery Colvert after the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.
What began as an emergency response has grown into a long-term commitment to helping teen girls build confidence, find community, and thrive.
Too often, girls are overlooked before, during, and after a crisis. We exist to make sure they're seen, supported, and never forgotten.
